THE COURSE DETAILS
This two day course is organised with an aim to familiarize the young faculty members, research scholars, and students who are pursuing their Ph.D about research methods, review of literature, use of old and modern research tools and techniques, and improving writing and presentation skills for publishing their research findings in SCI journals. This course will include both quantitative and qualitative research methodology. This course is intended to provide knowledge to the participants on better designing of theirprimary research studies, using the right methods, tools to analysis of data. On completion of this course, they will be confident of their choice of research problem and will be able to come out with a good thesis.
The objectives of this course are:
Introducing research methods to the participants (both qualitative and quantitative)Familiarizing the participants on latest techniques of research data analysis
Enhancing their knowledge, confidence and appropriate skills for their field of research
Improving the capability of the participants in selection of appropriate journal for their field of research and performing qualitative research article writing
Enhancing their skills for interpretation of results and presentation in user friendly formats
THEMES AND TOPICS TO BE COVERED IN THIS COURSE
Introduction to scientific research, methodology and approaches in quantitative andqualitative research, selection and defining of research problem, methods of data collection, tools and techniques for quantitative and qualitative data analysis, communication skills, importance of impact factors and presentation, and writing research articles for SCI journals.
WHO CAN APPLY AND NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
This short term course is for faculty members, research scholars and students, whoare registered and pursuing their Ph. D. The course will be for a maximum of 60 (only) participants. The criteria for selection of participants will be on first come first served basis and also on the current status of their research work. The selected participants will be informed through e-mail.
